Julia Norat Cavalcanti

Specialist in Regulatory, Land Use Transition and Agriculture

Julia is a lawyer and environmental scientist. She has a master’s degree in Sustainability Policy and Management at the Center for Sustainable Development (CDS) of the University of Brasília (UnB). She has already worked as a legal advisor in the Land Use Portfolio of FILE – the Foundation for International Law for the Environment. She was a legal-legislative advisor at the Secretary of State for the Environment of the Federal District (SEMA/DF). She also had experience as a consultant in agriculture and forestry at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where she worked on projects of sustainable rural development and low carbon agriculture. At iCS, she works as a lawyer specializing in land use in the Climate and Law portfolio.
