Eco-prophecy for the climate emergency

An initiative by the Casa Galileia seeks to train religious people from Amazonas, Pará, Mato Grosso and Maranhão about issues related to climate change

The Casa Galileia has published the 2024 edition of the Eco-prophecy School. The initiative seeks to train Christians, Catholics and Evangelicals about topics related to the climate crisis in dialogue with the biblical and theological teachings of Christianity. 35 residents from the states of Amazonas, Pará, Mato Grosso and Maranhão will be selected to participate in the project.

The classes will start this July and the course will last five months. During this time, the participants will learn about land use, decarbonization, and extreme weather events. Furthermore, this edition of the course has an objective to encourage the participation of members in the creation of campaigns of ministerial and political advocacy.
