Victoria is a chemical engineer, with a master’s degree and a PhD in Energy and Environmental Planning from COPPE/UFRJ in the field of industrial ecology (circular economy) and biorefining. As an engineer, she has worked in the chemical industry in the automation and optimization of production processes for basic inputs. As a researcher, she has worked on a project to restructure the environmental management system of a private company, as well as carrying out research at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​in Spain, and at the Technical University of Delft, in the Netherlands, in the area of ​​the metabolic evaluation of socioecological systems and industrial symbiosis. In recent years, she has worked as a coordinator of Competitive Intelligence at the SENAI Institute of Innovation in Biosynthetics and Fibers | SENAI CETIQT and was a technical supervisor for the Center of Sustainability and Circular Economy (NuSEC) at the same institution, dedicating herself to technological innovation for a sustainable and circular bioeconomy. Currently, she coordinates the just transition initiative for industry at the Institute for Climate and Society (iCS) with the objective of contributing to the reduction of emissions from the Brazilian industrial sector aligned with social justice.
